Accessing the Website

When you browse this site, your browser transmits technical data required to deliver the pages. These data are processed to deliver the website, ensure security and stability, detect misuse or attacks, and support technical troubleshooting.

Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use cookies.

If you use the theme switcher, your preferred color theme will be stored locally in your browser under the key theme. This remains on your device and is not transmitted to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser storage.

If you open the chat assistant Isaac, a session token is kept in your browser's session storage under the key isaac-session. It is valid for one hour and is removed when you close the tab. See "Chat Assistant Isaac" below.

If you talk with Isaac by voice, your choice of talk mode and microphone is stored locally in your browser under the keys isaac-voice-mode and isaac-voice-mic (the microphone's name and the ID your browser gives it for this site). The same happens when Isaac switches from a Bluetooth headset to your computer's own microphone. This remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

The fonts used by this website are delivered from this website's own domain as part of the deployed application. Visiting this site does not require direct font requests from your browser to Google Fonts.

Applications with Sign-in

Some eASiMOV applications (such as ePowGen, eHeatGen, ePowMon, eHeatMon) require sign-in with a KIT or FeLS account. When you sign in, we process the account information provided by your identity provider (user ID, name, e-mail address) to manage access and roles, and we record sign-in timestamps for security purposes. These applications use technically necessary cookies to keep you signed in during a session; no tracking or advertising cookies are used. Session cookies expire automatically. Account data is stored on KIT infrastructure and is not shared with third parties.

Chat Assistant Isaac

Isaac is a chat assistant on this site. It answers questions about eASiMOV, its applications and the research behind them.

When you use Isaac, we process your messages and Isaac's answers, the time of each message, a random session ID and the language of the chat. We use these data to answer your questions and to improve Isaac. Conversations are deleted after 90 days.

If you use voice, your speech is turned into text on KIT's own servers and the recording is not stored. The text is kept like a typed message. Isaac's voice is computer-generated.

Isaac does not use cookies. The session token described under "Cookies and Local Storage" is kept in your browser's session storage and removed when you close the tab.

To protect Isaac from automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile is loaded only when you open the chat. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser characteristics to tell humans from bots. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Website Analytics

We use a self-hosted Plausible Analytics instance "eTrack" to collect anonymous, cookieless usage statistics (such as page views). No personal data is tracked.

This site links to external websites. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the linked site applies.

Encrypted Transmission

Traffic is delivered over HTTPS/TLS to protect data in transit against unauthorized access.
